Ahmed Pasha Timur. A prominent Egyptian writer, he was born in Cairo to a Kurdish father and a Turkish mother. His father died when he was three months old, and his sister, Aisha al-Taymuri, raised him. He studied at the hands of Sheikh Muhammad Abdo and believed in his ideas. Although he spent his life researching and excavating, he was careful not to publish his books during his lifetime.
